Notes: PLASTIC ECO BAND was a project in partnership with Dr. Jeff Weston, the students of Pittsburgh's Environmental Charter School, and Chatham's Falk School of Sustainability & Environment. This 10-week course considered regional intersections of material culture and the natural environment, the conceptual legacy of recycling in music, and contemporary meme culture. On March 30th, 2023 the participating students performed an interpretation of the song "Barbie Girl" under the direction of Dr. Weston & myself.
